Hello, there! If you’ve been following me for quite some time, you might have observed that I like making plans. I also like consistency, processes and whatever other things that would translate to efficiency and productivity. Being in this career for more than a year, I’ve come to appreciate even more the value of putting intention and purpose in goals, plans, and actions, if I don’t want to fall into the trap of complacency of a highly flexible lifestyle. I remember having a conversation with an entrepreneur friend once, that in this profession, you’re not bound by a specific salary monthly, because you CAN definitely earn more if you WANT to and if you actually DO something about it. Sounds promising, right?
Well, it is ideal. It’s a possibility. It is also a choice. But, I also do know and acknowledge that there are certain things beyond my control. You can work day and night, and still not get more sales. You can give your best in every client interaction, but still, not everyone will be satisfied with your service. You might have the best quality products, but some people might still prefer buying the cheaper one. And the list goes on.
So how do I handle this type of situation?
Simple, really. I let go. I know that the plans I make for myself and my family are limited. I can only plan as much as I can, see and know. But there is one Master Planner who sees all and knows all. So I let go with faith that God is on my side. I let go and let Him know that I am on his side too.
This chapter of my life is crazy beautiful if you ask me. I plan and do as much as I can, but there are so MANY things that are beyond me. There are many factors that are uncertain, many big leaps that I make every day. But with each unpredictable day, week or month that come my way, I hang on to God’s every word and promise, because I know that if there is one thing that is constant and predictable, it’s that HE WILL NEVER FORSAKE ME.
And know that HE WILL NEVER FORSAKE YOU TOO.
